The Marquee, The Get Busy Living Centre, Burrough on the Hill

The Dinner is in aid of the Burrough Church Restoration Fund and the Matt Hampson Foundation. The Church like many of our beautiful ancient churches is in dire need of financial aid. Currently there is a shortfall each year just to keep the church open in terms of insurance, maintenance etc. The Church in Burrough is a vital asset to the local community. 


Wednesday 20th March at 7.30 pm, Carriages at 11.30 pm

Caroline Aston

Caroline Aston from Burrough on the Hill is a renowned after dinner speaker She loves the quaint, quirky and eccentric and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of British royalty from Queen Victoria until the present day.

She is particularly well known for her talks on the subject of the love affair between Edward & Mrs Simpson. They met in January 1931 with Burrough Court providing a backdrop for their first meeting. The romance between the Prince of Wales, and Mrs. Wallis Simpson was initiated when both were invited by Thelma, Viscountess Furness to a house-party at Burrough Court.
